Kollywood star Dhanush on Monday (Jan 17) announced the divorce to her wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the couple took to social media to inform the fans that they are parting ways.
Dhanush and Aishwarya got married on 18 Nov 2004 and have two sons named Yatra Raja and Linga Raja. Elder son Yatra is 15 yrs old and the younger one Linga is 11 Yrs old.
Dhanush and Aishwarya both come from high profile families, one side Aishwarya is the eldest daughter of the south superstar Rajinikanth, Dhanush is the son of a known south producer Kasthuri Raja.
After 18 yrs of living together the couple announced their separation on their social media handles, Dhanush took to Twitter and wrote, ’18 Yrs of Togetherness as Friends, Couple, as Parents and Well Wishers to Each Other The Journey Has Been of Growth, Understanding, Adjusting and Adapting… Today We Stand at a Place Where Our Paths Separate… Aishwarya and I Have Decided to Part Ways as a Couple and Take Time to Understand us As Individuals for The Better.’

He further wrote, ” Please Do Respect Our Decision and Give Us the Needed Privacy To Deal with This… Om Nama Shivaya!… Spread Love,”
This is the third eminent divorce in recent months, In October 2021, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha announced their divorce, and on 29 Dec 2021 the known music composer D Immam through social media platforms announced that he is parting ways.

Aishwarya posted the same post with the caption ‘No Caption needed… only your understanding n your love necessary!’, she still doesn’t remove Dhanush from her profile name.

Dhanush was recently seen in Anand L Rai’s directorial Atrangi Re wherein he shared the screen space with the budding actress Sara Ali Khan and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. Atrangi Re was released on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar.
On the other his former wife, Aishwarya Rajesh is a director and a playback singer, she has so far directed three movies 3(2012), Vai Raja Vai (2015), and Cinema Veeran (2017), Dhanush starred in Aishwarya’s psychological thriller 3.
