After delivering the commercial success Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, R. Madhavan is back on the big screens with the suspense thriller titled “Dhokha-Round D Corner.”
The trailer of the film received accolades from the viewers and it has now hit the screens. Dhokha stars R. Madhavan, Aparshakti Khurrana and the debutante Khushali Kumar.

Box Office Collection Day 1
Dhokha takes a start of 1-1.5 crores at the box office in the domestic market, as per the trade estimates. It seems Madhavan’s film will face losses in terms of ROI. It clashed with Sunny Deol-Dulquer Salmaan starrer Chup on Friday, the latter did a stupendous advance business and has taken a good start at the box office.
Dhokha Reviews and Budget
It opened to mostly negative reviews from the critics, Subham Kulkarni of Koimoi rated the movie 1/5 stars, DNA India gave it 2 out of 5 stars, Grace Cyril of India Today rated it 2.5 stars out of 5 criticizing the story, screenplay, and music of the movie while praised the performances, especially of Aparshakti Khurana and R. Madhavan. The film which boasts an ensemble cast is said to be made on a budget of 20 crores.
Advance Bookings Report Day 1
Madhavan starrer sold over 80000 tickets worth Rs 80L due to the national cinema day which is being celebrated across the country by the exhibitors (with few exceptions). To note, the overall opening figures will be lower as the ticket has been priced at Rs 75 for Friday.

Khushali Kumar is making her big screen debut with this film, she is the sister of Bhushan Kumar and the daughter of late music mogul Gulshan Kumar. Apart from this, Dhokha has R. Madhavan playing her husband’s role as Yathaarth Sinha and Aparshakti Khurana in the character of a terrorist named Haq Gul. Darshan Kumar doing a cop role named inspector Malik. Kookie Gulati directed the flick and it is produced by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-Series Films.
