Along with the leading stars cast, Dobaaraa also features Nassar, Rahul Bhat, Himanshi Choudhry, Saswata Chatterjee, Sukant Goel, Medini Kelamane, Madhurima Roy, Nidhi Singh and others in supporting roles.
Dobaaraa Box Office Collection Day 1
There is no doubt that the performance of star cast and direction in the film is praise-worthy, but will it help the film in collecting a fair amount at BO?? As every day we are witnessing boycott trends for major Bollywood movies, looks like Dobaaraa hasn’t been untouchable also.
Though the film did take above par expectation start, still it is on the lower side, it should have been made in the vicinity of Rs 1 Cr. However, the upward trend over the weekend could help the film to reach Rs 5 Cr on the first weekend. As per Taran Adarsh, Taapsee’s film earned Rs 72 Lakhs on Day 1.
#DoBaaraa opens to better numbers than expected… In fact, much better than #Taapsee's previous film #ShabaashMithu… Picked up at select premium multiplexes towards evening/night shows… Fri ₹ 72 lacs [370 screens]. #India biz. pic.twitter.com/qDypLKrvn8

Story of the Film
Set in Pune, the film’s story revolves around Taapsee’s character Antara, who is a nurse and has moved to a new town with her husband and a six year old daughter. She soon gets to know that the place was previously inhabited by a lady and her 12-year old boy Anay , who was run over by a heavy vehicle after he witnessed an unfortunate event during a thunderstorm 25 years ago. Antara has an opportunity to save the life of Anay by getting connected through a television set during the similar storm in the present.
The film is getting mixed response from critics with praises for Anurag Kashyap’s direction which keeps you hooked in an engaging way. Kashyap is known for taking forward his own stories and thoughts.
The film produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Sunit Khetrapal and Gaurav Bose, has a very well written screenplay by Nihit Bhave. The performance of Taapsee and Pavail also deserves appreciation.
