Ayushmann Khurrana starrer “Doctor G” is faring decently at the box office. It has emerged as the best day 1 performer for the actor in recent years. Over 3.8 crore opening will be considered very good given it caters to the restricted target audience, especially in the post-pandemic.
Most of the day 1 earnings came from the multiplexes whereas the non-national chains were dull. It was earlier estimated that Doctor G will take a start of below 2 crores but the film performed above expectations. And emerged as the top day 1 grosser among the Friday(Oct 14) release movies.

Now, as per the early reports, Doctor G is estimated to witness a 25% growth in earnings. As per the early trade estimations, it collects 4.5-5 crores on Saturday, taking the total two days’ collections of the movie a little below 9 crores.
Ayushmann’s remuneration is 26% of the budget
Now, the decent start has set the stage for a 15 crore weekend. Doctor G is a mid-sized film made with a budget of 35 crores. Ayushmann has charged 26% of the budget as his salary, which is 9 crores approx, as per the reports. Given the post-covid circumstances, Rs 50 Cr nett lifetime for an ‘A’ rated movie like Doctor G will be considered a good affair.
Doctor G Advance Bookings Report Day 2
Doctor G has shown growth in terms of ticket sales as compared to day 1, the flick has sold tickets worth Rs 1.2 crores approx. It is around 4 times of day 1 advance bookings total sales collections. It witnessed over 50,000 ticket sales from all quarters on Saturday from the advance bookings.
