Ayushmann’s comedy film Doctor G is not doing well at the box office. The flick was given an A certificate by the censor board and was out in the cinemas on Oct 14th.
It took an above-par start at the box office and emerged as the top day 1 performer among his recent three releases. Doctor G marks the directorial debut of Anubhuti Kashyap, it is produced by Junglee Pictures and stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, and Shefali Shah in the main lead.

Box Office Collection Day 5
Earlier it was expected that Anubhuti Kashyap-directed could bring in Rs 50 Cr in the long run. But after an over 70% huge drop on its first weekday relegated its lifetime expectations from 50 Cr to 25-30 crores.
However, it is stable on the weekdays but on the lower side. Doctor G clocked in 34.62 Lakhs from the advance ticket bookings for Day 5. And going by the early trade reports, it witnessed a tad growth in earnings on Tue (Day 5) to take the total collections over 18 crores.
Doctor G Box Office (Day-Wise): Day 1 (3.87 cr), Day 2 (Rs 5.22 Cr), Day 3 (Rs 5.94 Cr), Day 4 (Rs 1.64 Cr), Day 5 (Rs 1.6-1.7 Cr**): Total-18.3 Cr+**
Ayushmann’s film has an open week to perform at the box office until the biggies Thank God and Ram Setu arrives. Therefore it will have to show a huge jump in earnings on daily basis for a lifetime of 50 crores which doesn’t seem feasible given the performance of the flick. The respectable total for the film would be to reach nearly 30-35 crores.
