Ayushmann Khurrana starrer medical comedy Doctor G has run out of its fuel at the box office. Even though the collections of the movie are on the lower side, it raked in better than the mid-sized movies released in the recent past.
It was certified A by the censor (CBFC) board and has a runtime of 2hr 4min or 124minutes. It has an IMDb rating of 7.4/10 and on the ticket bookings website BookMyShow, it is rated 7.7 out of 10 with 16.5K reviews. The film performed decently in the metros whereas the mass circuits were low.

Doctor G Box Office Closing Figures
It had taken an average start at the box office and saw substantial growth of 34.88% on Day 2, it clocked in ₹ 5.94 Cr on Sun (day 3) with a 13.79% jump for a respectable weekend of over ₹ 15 crores nett.
Doctor G’s weekend total was more than the lifetime of Ayushmann’s last release Anek ( ₹ 8.15 Cr). It saw a major drop of over 70% on its first Mon which almost barred the flick to grow further. The week-1 collections of Ayushmann-Rakul starrer stand at ₹ 20.91 Cr followed by ₹ 6 Cr in 2nd week with a 71.31% drop.
Box Office Collection (Week-Wise)
As per the trade reports, in its 3-week run, Ayushmann’s film has collected in the vicinity of 28 crores nett in the domestic market. The gross worldwide figure of the movie stands at ₹ 44.01 crores which consists of ₹ 33 Cr gross in India and ₹ 11 Cr gross overseas.
It is said to be made on a budget of 35 Cr. As per the reports, Ayushmann’s salary accounts for 26% of the film’s budget whereas Rakul took home a 3.5 Cr paycheck.

As far as the box office verdict of the movie is concerned, it will be called a below-average film given the post covid scenario. In a normal case, it would have been considered a flop.
