Directed by P. Vasu, and produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Seetharam GVS, and CV Sarathi, Drishya 2 is an Kannada action thriller sequel of the original movie Drishya and is supposedly the remake of the Malayalam hit Drishyam 2.
The cinematography of the film has been rendered by Seetharam GSV, and the film’s music is given by Ajaneesh Loknath.
Drishya 2 Theater & OTT Release Date
The movie was to be released November 19, 2021, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the release got delayed and Drishya 2 got set for its theatrical release on December 10, 2021.

Drishya 2 Star Cast
The film brings about almost all the characters reprising their roles of the previous part, with V. Ravichandran playing the role of Mohanlal of the original Malayalam version. The movie also features its previous cast of Navya Nair, Aarohi Narayan, Unnati, Asha Sharath, and Prabhu playing their previous roles.
Apart from them, the veteran actor Anath Nag is also said to be an addition to the Drishya family, where the actor has returned to acting after a gap of 18 months due to the pandemic.
Drishya 2 Plot
The plot of the movie is the same as that of the Malayalam version, with the protagonist being in constant fear of getting hunted down by the police.
The story begins six years after the heinous events that took place with his family, where his elder daughter is dealing with epilepsy, still haunted by the day when she accidentally killed a boy of her class while he was trying to take advantage of her.
His younger daughter comes out to be a rebellious teen who has her own ways of dealing with life and slips out of her parents’ sight. Though the protagonist is now a successful owner of a cinema hall and wishes to release a movie of the story that he has written, he constantly fears of police unravelling his darkest secrets. The mystery of him being caught or spared by the police is the climax of the story!

The trailer of the movie created a buzz in Nov 2021. The creators of the film shared a glimpse of the official poster of Drishya 2. The poster focuses on the word ‘resumption’ signalling that history is going to repeat itself and that all of it going to return even though after six years!

We also see the protagonist’s family, with his wife crying and his daughters standing in fear. We also see a whole bunch of other characters, with a cop also a part of it. The poster has a background of a clock indicating they are running short of time!
