The crime thriller Drishyam 2 has recently crossed the 300 Cr gross mark worldwide. It has completed four weeks at the box office and still earning upwards of 1 crore on the daily basis.
The film stars Ajay Devgn in the main lead role and it is being praised for the performances, writing, and technical aspects e.g cinematography and editing.
Drishyam 2 has emerged as the third highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2022 after Brahmastra and The Kashmir Files. It has also become the third film for Ajay Devgn to cross the 200 Cr milestone after Tanhaji (Rs 279.55 Cr) and Golmaal Again (Rs 205.69 Cr) in India.

It earned 2.62 Cr on the 4th Friday with a growth of 42.39%, the film saw a huge growth of 78.24% on further Sat and 31.91% growth on Sun for a 13.45 Cr fourth weekend. The film was steady with earnings of around 1.5 Cr on the weekdays. Drishyam 2 clocked 19.49 Cr on Week 4 in India.

Going by the reports, Ajay starrer witnessed a drop of 40% in earnings on Fri. The film collected Rs 70L to take the total collections of the movie to Rs 216.40 crores.
From here, Drishyam 2 is expected to collect 10-15 Cr more before ending its run at the box office. The film will be eying Shah Rukh Khan’s 2013 release Chennai Express’s lifetime in the long run. Chennai Express accumulated Rs 227.13 Cr in its run to become the 18th highest net domestic-grosser Bollywood film of all time.
Drishyam 2 currently stands at the 19th position in the list. It crossed the lifetime of the movies like Happy New Year, Good Newwz, Golmaal Again, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and Bharat.
