The highly anticipated “Drishyam 2” graced the cinemas on Nov 18, it is a crime thriller and serves as the sequel to the 2015 smash hit Drishyam, directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series with Panorama Studios and Viacom 18 Studios.
It has created a sky-high pre-release buzz among the cinephiles through the trailer of the movie. It is certified U/A by the censor board and has the runtime of 2hr 20min or 140mins.
Drishyam 2 OTT Release Date
The post-theatrical rights of Ajay Devgn starrer are acquired by the OTT giant Amazon Prime Video, closer to 240 Cr at Indian Box Office. Also goes to OTT platform after the theatrical release from 13th of Jan 2023.
Before Drishaym 2 went to Amazon Prime in the last week of Dec for for rent users (Rs 199/-), now available for Amazon Prime Subscribers.
Drishyam 2 Star Cast & Budget
Along with Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor and Shriya Sharan will be returning for their respective roles from Drishyam. Akshaye Khanna is the new
cast member.
It also features Mrunal Jadhav, Neha Joshi, Kamlesh Sawant, and Yogen Soman in pivotal roles. It is said to be made on a budget of 50 crores.
All About Drishyam 2
Apart from the 2015 Drishyam sequel which was itself a sequel of a Malayalam film of the same name, Ajay’s Drishaym 2 is the remake of the 2021 Mohanlal starrer Malayalam movie of the same name.
Ajay starrer was primarily shot in Goa with other locations including Mumbai, and Hyderabad. Yash Raj Films are the distributor of the movie. The advance bookings of the movie have been opened and it suggests that the flick will take a big start at the box office.

The trailer of the movie grabbed a lot of eyeballs and going by this, one can say that a blockbuster is written all over it. The cult fan following of the first part which set the base for the sequel, the film put box office by storm, India Net Collection is 239 Cr till 13th Jan.
