Dune Part Two Movie

Part two of the epic science-fiction blockbuster film of the year 2021 Dune starring Timothee Chalamet will be hitting cinemas in the second half of 2023. Denis Villeneuve’s directorial Dune is based on a novel of the same name written by frank herbert.

While the first part of the film showed the Harkonnen taking over Arrakis, the next part will follow the theme of vengeance.

Part one was made on a 165 million dollars budget and collected a whopping 400 million dollars worldwide (Rs 3076 crores approx) and 108 million dollars (INR 830 crore approx.) at the domestic box office. Not only this the Timothee starrer also copped 9 academy awards nominations.

After the successful box office run of Dune, makers now gearing for part two of the epic sci-fi project, reportedly the film currently is in the pre-production phase.

The film was liked by the audience for the unique story and the amazing visuals, it was filmed for the IMAX theatres, of which the viewers thoroughly enjoyed the immersing effects of it. Greig Fraser was the cinematographer.

Star Cast of Dune

in the first part, Paul Kith and kins sacrificed their lives to save Paul, in the next part there will be new faces with new characters in the film.

The returning star cast is:

Timothee Chalamet is playing Leto’s son and the next heir of Atreides after his father’s demise.
Rebecca Ferguson is playing Lady Jessica, she is paul’s mother and the daughter of the antagonist Harkonnen
Javier Bardem fremen tribe’s leader, Stilgar
Stellan Skarsgard in the antagonist role as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen
Zendaya is playing Chani, she is the wife paul, they both have a son named Leto second.

Though not confirmed yet, as per reports Black Widow fame actress Florence Pugh has been roped in by the makers.

Dune Part 2 Plot

The story talks about the far future, where a planet called Arrakis or Dune, has an essential substance called ‘spice’ of which consumption, One can get extraordinary power. That is the reason Harkonnen attacks the planet. Leto Atreides who is head of the House Atreides, which is the counterforce to House Harkonnen’s joined the native people of the planet called Fermen.

Together they commence the war on enemies, in which the main character namely Leto, Idaho, and Dr. Kynes got killed. but they succeed to save their next heir Paul and his mom Jessica, who is the Bene Gesserit.

Paul has the power to foresee the future, where he has seen already what is to happen. he meets the girl Chani whom he has seen in his dreams, they both fall in love with each other, has a son called paul second. Paul eventually join the Fremen’s force after refusing many times by his mom. later the Fermen’s called him his messiah. following this, he with his army of Fermen attacks the House Herkonnen’s and takes the control of the Empire.
