Eesho is an upcoming Indian Malayalam thriller film directed by filmmaker-musician Nadirshah, known for directing movies such as Amar Akabar Anthony, Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, Mera Naam Shaji, Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan.
His most recent directorial was comedy drama film Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan which starred Dileep and Urvashi. Eesho marks his fifth directorial debut. The film was shot after the first lockdown in Kochi and Dubai.
Eesho OTT Release Date
Touted to be a thriller film, Eesho: Not from the Bible is gearing up for a direct OTT release and skip the theatre release. The film’s streaming rights have been acquired by popular domestic streaming giant Sony LIV (Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada).

It is the third direct-to-OTT release for Jayasurya after Sufiyum Sujathayum which released and Sunny, released on Amazon Prime Video. He has worked in more than a hundred films in his career.
The film also got into a controversy over its title which is the Malayalam name of Jesus Christ, the central figure of Christianity. However, the Kerala High Court eventually dismissed the plea to stay the release of the film.
Eesho Star Cast
Produced by Arun Narayan, the film stars multiple award-winning actor Jayasurya in the titular role. The actor is known for working in the films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Apothecary, Aadu, Nadu 2, Lukka Chuppi (Malayalam) and many other films.
Actress Namita Pramod is playing the female lead opposite Jayasurya as Awasthy, in the film. She has appeared in many hit films such as Puthiya Theerangal, Sound thoma, Al Mallu, Role Models, Adi Kapyare Kootamani, Villali Veeran and many other films.
Along with the leading star cast, the film also stars Jaffar Idukki who is playing the character named Ramchandran Pillai.
On the technical front, the film is executive produced by N.M. Baadusha and Bina Sebastian and is written by Suneesh Varanaad. Roby Varghese Raj and edited by Shameer Muhammad. Nadirshah himself composed the songs whereas the background score is done by Rahul Raj.
Eesho Teaser
The makers of the film released its 1-minute long teaser, earlier in April this year. It stars with Jaffar Idukki, who is playing an ATM security, interacting with Jayasurya, who is playing a mysterious character named Eesho, on a rainy night.
