The actor’s most recent film as Anubhav Sinha directorial Anek, which unfortunately failed to spread its magic at the Box- office. Well, keeping this aside, the actor’s film Dream Girl 2 is creating a lot of buzz. It is the sequel of his 2019 comedy drama film Dream Girl, with created havoc at box-office and turned out to be a big blockbuster.
Dream Girl 2 Release Date Announced
On Friday, September 16, 2022, the makers of the film revealed the released date of the film via an interesting announcement video. Set in the backdrop of Mathura, the video features Ayushmann lost somewhere in deep thoughts like Why South Movies are becoming hit, why Bollywood is lagging behind etc.
Meanwhile, two of his friends come and discuss with him about the same topic. Ayushmann jokingly says “DVD pe chala raha hu fir bhi picture na chalri”. He further says that’s why I have come to Mathura to do Pooja and I am going to do Pooja on Eid.
Through the video clip the maker have now revealed the release date and it is now confirmed that this comedy film will come up with more entertainment and drama on June 29, 2023.
The video also revealed the other actors set to feature in the film and they are the powerhouses of comedy- Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee. Actress Ananya Panday also features in the video and she will be playing the female lead in the film.

Will Dram Girl 2 Face Clash with Salman Khan’s Tiger 3?
Most of the time we see the Eid slot booked for the movies of superstar Salman Khan and this time it won’t be exception though. His highly-anticipated film Tiger 3 will grace the theatres on April 21st, 2023 coinciding with Eid Al Fitr, whereas Ayushmann starrer is also going to have a Eid released but on Eid Al-Adha on June 23rd, 2023. So, both the films will not face clash on box-office.
