Mohit Suri’s directorial “Ek Villain Returns” was opened with mixed to negative responses from the critics, however, doing well at the box office. It is helmed by Mohit Suri and bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar under the banner T-Series and Balaji Motion Pictures.
The film was released on around 3000 screens domestically and performed above expectations at the box office on the very first day. Trade experts were of the view that it will hardly accumulate in the range of Rs 5-6 Cr considering the biggie failures at the box office, however, rejecting all the estimations the film took a start of Rs 7.05 crores.

Best opening for John and Arjun
It is the best opening day collection for John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor post covid both the actors were struggling to see a good opening since last 4 movies. In fact both the actors have been suffering from a string of flops. It was a much-needed start for the actors, however, it is remained to be seen whether the film emerge as a commercial success.
Box Office Collection (Weekend-1)
It took a decent start of Rs 7.05 Cr at the box office maintaining a good hold on the 2nd day, it is estimated to collect around Rs 7.5 Cr on Friday. The total two days’ collections of the film stand at Rs 14.55 Cr.
Now, as per the reports, it witnessed a slight jump in occupancy on Sunday as compared to Saturday. It showed an upward trend in the occupancy over the afternoon, evening and night shows. As per the Bollywood Hungama, it collects in the range of Rs 9.02 Cr on Sunday to take the total opening weekend collection in the vicinity of Rs 23.54 Cr.
