The upcoming science fiction Encounter is all set to premiere on the giant digital platform Amazon Prime Video, It tells the story of a Marine who is on the mission to rescue his kids to save them from the threat of an alien advent. Michael Pearce has directed as well as written the film.
Encounter Release Date, OTT
The shooting of Encounter was commenced on Oct 2020, and Amazon Studios in Sept month has announced that Encounter will release on 3 Dec 2021 on the selected theatres in the United States (U.S) and then will be available for worldwide audience from 10 Dec 2021 on their Over The Top(OTT) platform Amazon Prime Video.
Star Cast of Encounter
Riz Ahmed is playing the marine named Riz Ahmed, Octavia Spencer in the role of Hattie, Janina Gavankar is playing Piya Khan, Rory Cochrane is Shepard West’s role, Lucian-River Chauhan in the role of Jay Khan.
Encounter is produced by Dimitri Doganis along with Piers Vellacott, Derrin Schlesinger & made under the banner of Amazon Studios, with the collaboration of Film4 Productions and Raw. The distributors are Amazon Studios. On the technical part: Benjamin Kracun is the cinematographer and Maya Miffioli is the editor of the film.

There is no clear view about the story from the trailer as it is science fiction we can guess, Riz is trying to rescue his kids from something extraterrestrial because in the trailer they have shown a strange flickering on people’s pupils, It can be only Riz’s imagination. Ahmed has worked with Amazon Studios last year in the drama Sound of Metal which was acclaimed by the audience as well as critics, It won two Oscar Awards in the category of Best Sound and Best Film Editing.
