Tamil film Etharkkum Thunnindhavan starring Suriya is getting mixed to a positive response from the cine lovers and critics as well. Suriya’s last film was Jai Bhim, which skipped the theatrical release and was directly released on the OTT platform, the film was well-received by the viewers, holds an IMDb rating of 9.5/10.
Jai Bhim revolved around discrimination faced by tribals in the state, in which the protagonist lawyer fight’s their case before the court.
Suriya’s ET catches the same theme line, this time the story follows Advocate Kannabiran, who bails out the women from the notorious gang who exploit the young women in the name of love and later harass them by showing their nudes.
Etharkkum Thunindhavan Reviews
Etharkkum Thunindhavan is receiving mostly positive responses from the moviegoers, the audience seems to love Suriya’s vigilantism avatar.
Though the plot is said to be predictable the characters in it bring freshness to the story. The second half of the film is said to have some moving scenes, Pandiraj’s direction is also being praised.
ET releases worldwide on 10 March 2022, earlier it was being said that the film will see its release in multiple languages but so far, there is no news fetched by us regarding dubbed versions release.
ET Box Office Collection Day 1
Talking about the Box Office Collections, Suriya starrer minted Rs 3.80 crores from the advance booking collections, the film collected $19,966 (Rs 15,25,526.19) at the U.S premieres.
As per analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Suriya’s ET grossed Rs 30.54 crores on the opening day at the box office worldwide, with most from the home market Tamilnadu Rs 15.21 crores followed by Karnataka BO (Rs 3.10 cr), Kerala (Rs 2.59 cr), AP/TS (Rs 2.36 cr) and Rest of India Rs 0.96 cr. Ettharkkum Thunnindhavan grossed Rs 6.32 crores from the overseas market.

Priyanka Arul Mohan is playing the love interest of the protagonist Kannabiran, Vinay Rai in the antagonist’s role as Inba, he is the MLA’s spoiled son, along with his gang collectively harasses women. Other actors Rajkiran, Madhusudhan Rao, Jayaprakash, Illavarsu, Soori will be seen in the key roles.
