Kollywood-known actor Suriya’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year 2021, helmed and written by Pandiraj.
The film went on the floors in Feb 2021 and concluded in Nov 2021, the film is slated to hit the theatres on 10 March 2021 in all five languages Tamil along with the dubbed versions Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Etharkkum Thunindhavan (ET) marks the 40th film of the actor Suriya’s filmy career. The Jai Bhim actor starrer is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 75 crore. The shooting of this big-ticket Tamil film took place in various locations Chennai, Madurai, Karaikudi, and Courtaliam.

The post-theatrical digital rights of the film have been acquired by the streaming giant Netflix and SUN NXT digital platform. And the post-theatrical satellite rights of the film have been copped by SUN NXT’s parent company SUN Network.
Thereby we can see the digital debut of the film after the 4-week theatrical run, the film will be available on SUN NXT and Netflix from (7 April), Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, and the satellite premiere after 8 weeks (May).

Reportedly Suriya is playing the protagonist Advocate role, Adv. Kannabiran, Priyanka Arul Mohan in the counterpart lead actress role to Suriya her name is Aadhini Kannabiran in the film, other actors Vina Rai (Inba), Sathyaraj (Kannabiran’s Father), Rajkiran, Madhusudhan Rao, Jayaprakash, Soori, Ilavarasu, and Devadarshini will be seen playing pivotal roles.

Filmmaker Pandiraj is helming this project, the director’s debut film Pasanga was nominated for two National film awards and won an award in the category of Best screenplay. In the thematic sequel of the film Pasanga, Suriya played the main lead role, Pasanga 2 was successful at the box office grossing around Rs 52 crores.
