Directed by Louis Laterrier, ‘Fast X’ marks the 10th main installment in the successful Hollywood franchise, Fast and Furious. It serves as a sequel to the 2021 film F9.
Director Leterrier had come as a replacement for Justin Lin who was earlier aboard for helming two projects including Fast X.
Leterrier took over the director role from Justin Lin after Lin suddenly exited the project citing creative differences, though, he retained the writing and producing credits of the film.
Lin, has directed five films in the F&F franchise namely F&F: Tokyo Drift (2006), F&F (2009), Fast Five (2011), F&F6 (2013), and F9: The Fast Saga (2021).
F&F 10 Titled ‘Fast X’
Makers unveiled the title ‘Fast X’ in April 2022. Earlier, it was tentatively called Fast and Furious or F10.
Along with announcing the title, the makers also confirmed that the shooting of the film began on April 20 onwards.

The film stars Vin Diesel essaying the role of Dominic Toretto aka Dom, it also has names such as Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Jason Statham, John Cena, Rita Moreno, Brie Larson, and Jason Momoa in key roles.
Apart from this Michelle Rodriguez, Chris Bridges popularly known as Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Helen Mirren, and Cardi B are among the supporting cast members.
Fast X Release Date & Budget
Fast X, is slated to release in the theatres on 19 May 2023 in the U.S. The India release date of the movie is May 18 2023, however, it is expected to be released on the same day as the U.S. release.
Furious 7 is the highest-grosser film in the Fast and Furious franchise, the film grossed huge at the Indian box office upon release. The film is currently at the 7th spot in the list of highest-grossing Hollywood movies in India. Now, the Indian audiences are awaiting the India release date of the upcoming installment.
Fast X is made on an estimated budget of $340M (in Indian Rupees 2308 crores).
Fast X Trailer
The makers recently unveiled the trailer of the movie which confirms Jason Momoa as the Villain. The trailer features, Jason in the role of antagonist Dante, who is fueled by blood revenge and determined to shatter Dom’s family and destroy everything that Dom loves.
While much of the details of the plot have still been kept under wraps, the new look of Jason in the trailer finally gives the fans a feel for what to expect.
