Filmfare Awards are one the most prestigious awards in the country and this year filmfare is celebrating their 67th year and from decades Filmfare is the leading award show loved by audiences and celebrities.
The Filmfare Awards were first introduced by Filmfare Magazines of Times Group in the year 1954 and initially they were referred to as “Clare Awards”. The first Filmfare award function happened on 21 March 1954 at the Metro Theatre of Mumbai, and there were only five awards presented and categories were Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Music Director.
Do Bigha Zameen was the first movie to win the award for Best Film. The first winners for the other four categories were Bimal Roy for direction in Do Bigha Zameen, Dilip Kumar won best Actor for his performance in Daag, Meena Kumari won best Actress award for her performance in Baiju Bawra, and Naushad Ali for his music in Baiju Bawra.

Filmfare Awards 2022 Date and Venue
The 67th Filmfare Award will be held on August 30, 2022 and the event is scheduled to be premiered on September 9, 2022, in collaboration with Colors TV. Interestingly, the global partnership for the event has been extended to Meta. And the Filmfare awards will be at Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai.

Filmfare Awards 2022 Hosts
The Gunday co-stars, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor will be hosting the 67th edition of Filmfare Awards and during the press conference Ranveer said It is the first time when he is hosting, he said he have danced a few times on the stage of Filmfare but Performing on stage is very different from hosting. Ranveer said according to him, hosting takes ten times more work, ten times the amount of time.
