The Prestigious Filmfare Awards South ceremony was held on October 9, 2022. The first time in the history of this prestigious event, it was held in Bangalore city at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center, Nice Junction, Tumkur Road.
The star-studded night witnessed a lot of entertainment, fun and glamour all around. This year marks the 67th edition of the Filmfare Awards South, the prestigious awards that are given in various categories to actors and filmmakers for their excellent work.
This ceremony, which is the epitome of elegance, glamour and energy, celebrated excellence across South Indian films Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada), that were released in 2021 in the 3 major categories- popular, critical and technical.

About This Year’s Award Ceremony
Like previous years, this year’s Filmfare Awards South event was full of entertainment and witnessed the presence of big celebs of South Indian cinema, including Allu Arjun, Sai Pallavi, Suriya among others.
The show, hosted by Dignath and Ramesh Aravind, also saw some energetic performances by Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, Kriti Shetty, Saniya Iyappan and Aindrita Ray.
The Allu Arjun starrer made a clean sweep at the event by bagging awards in all categories including- Best Film, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Music Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Male Singer and Best Female Singer.
Tamil Superstar Suriya also won the Best actor award for his film Soorarai Pottru, which too, bagged Best Film Award. Dhananjaya and Biju Menon won the Best Actor awards for the films Act 1978 and Ayyappanum Koshiyum, respectively.
