Actor Vishnu Vishal starrer Kollywood action thriller FIR hits the theatres from Feb 11 (Friday) and the initial reviews are out, here we are talking about the Box office predictions, reviews, non-theatrical business & more.
FIR which has already made much hype amongst the movie-lovers owing to the theme of the film is hitting theatres from Friday onwards in two languages (Tamil and Telugu). The Vishnu Vishal starrer film had a special preview on Wednesday (Feb 9) and it got mostly positive reviews.
Reviews
Many critics took to Twitter and congratulate Vishal, as he is also the producer of the film, for this gripping racy thriller. The film got praise for the story, which is set on the terrorism backdrop, music, and the performance of the main lead. The first half is said to be decent and the second half is imbued with high octane-lit action sequences.
Non-Theatrical Business
FIR is financed by Vishnu, Shubhra, and Aryan Ramesh under the banner Vishnu Vishal Studioz, and the makers seem happy and satisfied. As their film has already done a non-theatrical business of Rs 22 CRs including satellite rights, digital rights, audio, and Hindi dubbing.

Talking about the Box office predictions, FIR will hit the theatres on Friday, it is locking horns with mass maharaja Ravi Teja starrer much-hyped film Khiladi in the southern region.
As the film’s trailer and special preview reviews got a positive response, word of mouth will certainly pull the movie-lovers at the ticket windows on opening day, in particular at the south box office.
Box Office Prediction
As per our early predictions FIR will garner around Rs 3-4 crores on an opening day. And as many theatres still running in half occupancy and clash with Ravi’s Khiladi that will somewhat do the harm to the film’s business, however, it’s a new norm now. Our prediction is that FIR will amass around Rs 25-28 crores overall at the box office.
But, makers don’t have to worry much about the theatrical performance of the film as they are already in the profit zone and the theatrical response will only add the bonus.
FIR is directed and written by Manu Anand, Ashwath has the music, whose composing is being praised in the film. Apart from Vishnu Vishal who is portraying the most wanted man in India as Irfan Ahmed, other actors starring Gautham Vasudev Menon, Reba Monica John (Archana), Parvathi T., Gaurav Narayanan, Raiza Wilson (Anisha Qureshi), and Ram C.
