Directed by Andrew Ahn of Spa Night (2016) and Driveways (2019), Fire Island is an upcoming gay romantic comedy film, which is based on 1813 novel titled Pride and Prejudice, written by Jane Austen and published by T. Egerton, Whitehall, London.
American actor and writer Joel Kim Booster, who is the lead actor of the film, is also serving as its showrunner. It is jointly bankrolled by John Hodges, Brooke Posch, Tony Hernandez under the banner of Jax Media. On the technical front, Felipe Vara de Rey is taking care of cinematography and Brian A. Kates is editing the film.

- Actor-comedian Joel Kim Booster, who has also written the screenplay of the film, is playing as Noah. He is best known for his stand up special in American stand up comedy television series Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents, which is formally known as The Half Hour.
- Bowen Yang, who along with being an actor is also a comedian, podcaster and writer based in New York city, is playing as Howie. He has worked in Priyanka Chopra starrer 2019 American romantic comedy film “Isn’t It Romantic”, a romantic drama film “Cicada” and the recently released action adventure comedy film The Lost City
- Actress-cum-comedian-cum-musician Margaret Cho of All American Girl (a 1994 American sitcom) fame is playing as Erin in the film

Fire Island OTT Release Date
The release date of this most awaited gay romantic comedy has been revealed and now it is confirmed that the film will be released through a direct OTT streaming on June 3, 2022 on the leading OTT platfrom Hulu in USA and on Disney+ in international territories. It is set to be distributed by Searchlight Pictures.

Plot of the Film
The plot of the story revolves around two best bestfriends who have embarked on a week-long vacation to the famous gay escape destination off the Southern shore of Long Island called Fire Island, New York. Also, they have also been accompanied by their eclectic friends on the vacations. The film is more than a cute gay rom-com and is a commentary on racism and classism which gay people face in today’s world.
