The first week of Dec has multiple releases which include an array of movies ranging from fantasy, horror, and adventure to thriller that will be hitting the theatres and arriving on various digital platforms.
Drishyam 2 continues to dominate the box office in the 2nd week as well while Varun’s Bhediya is finding it tough to compete with the former. Here we have brought you the list of the selected ones which will keep you hooked to the screens.
Many interesting titles are released on the OTT platforms like Netflix, Zee5, and Disney+Hotstar also, so there are multiple releases lined up for entertainment buffs to enjoy.
1- An Action Hero
Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat are headlining the project, the former is playing a film hero Manav in this. The actor is the first time seen as larger than a life avatar in which he is not a righteous man who gives out a message.
It is directed by Anirudh Iyer and produced by Anand L Rai with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. Arriving in theatres on Dec 2.
2- Freddy (Disney+Hotstar)
Freddy revolves around Love, Marriage, and Betrayal, It marks the first collab of Kartik Aaryan with Disney+Hotstar. The actor is playing Dr. Freddy who as per the teaser is a socially awkward person, it also has Alaya F portraying Kainaaz in the lead role against Kartik.
It is directed by Shashank Ghos and backed by Balaji Telefilms Ltd, NH Studioz, and Northern Lights Films. Streming from 2nd Dec on Disney+Hotstar.
3- Hit-The 2nd Case
The highly awaited film Hit 2 starring Major fame Adivi Sesh, the film will finally be released in cinemas on Dec 2. It is helmed by Sailesh Kolanu and jointly produced by Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni under Wall Poster cinemas. Along with Adivi Sesh, it has the female lead, Meenakshi Chaudhary.
4- India Lockdown (Zee5)
The Zee5 original film India Lockdown relives the horror of the chaotic lockdown, instigated by the covid pandemic. It is directed by award-winning director Madhur Bhandarkar and features Prateek Babbar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Ahana Kumra, sai Tamankar and Prakash Belawadi. It will stream from Dec 2 on home grown OTT platform Zee5.
5- Troll (Netflix)
Troll is Netflix’s upcoming monster film which stars Ine Marie Wilmann, Kim Falck, Mads Sjogard Pettersen, Gard B. Eidsvold, and Pal Anders among others. It is directed by Roar Uthaug (The Wave, Tomb Raider) and produced by Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud. It is filmed in Norway.
It is slated to premiere on Netflix on Dec 1.
6- Warriors of Future (Netflix)
Chinese film Warriors of Future will see its Netflix debut on Dec 2, 2022. It is made with 56M dollars of budget and earned $111M globally emerging as a commercially successful film.
It is directed by the debutante Ng Yuen-fai visual effects artist turned director and stars Louis Koo, Sean Lau, and Carina Lau. Will start streaming from Dec 2 on Netflix.
