Sudigali Sudheer starrer “Gaalodu” is out in cinemas, it is a Telugu action drama directed by Rajasekar Reddy Pulicharla and produced by Samskruthi Films. The film has created a decent pre-release buzz and is expected to give stiff competition to current releases in the home market.
It is passed with a “UA” certificate by the central board for certification with an approved runtime of 2hr 5mins or 125mins. On the ticket bookings website BookMyShow, over 25K people have shown their interest to watch the film which is good given it is a small film with no face value.

Gaalodu Screen Counts
Gaalodu locked horns with Samantha’s Yashoda in the home market, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The latter film is riding on rave reviews and is set to complete its break even.
Amid this, Sudheer’s film has occupied a good number of screens in AP-TG. It has been released in over 375 theatres in the two Telugu states which consists of 185+ theatres in Andhra, followed by over 130 in Nizam and around 60 theatres in the Ceeded area.
Gaalodu Pre-release Business
The theatrical rights of Gaalodu are said to be sold at 2.75 crores in AP-TG. The break-even target is valued at 3 crores, hence it will have to recover around 3 crores distributor’s shares at the box office to be considered a hit flick. The target seems easy considering the pre-release buzz and the good amount of screens it has occupied in the home market.

Box Office Collection Day 1
As per the early trade estimations, it takes a start of 1 crores gross in AP-TG with 48L shares. The film performed well in Hyderabad, Vizag areas. It now needs to 2.5 Cr more to emerge a clean hit.
The biz of the movie will further depend on the word of mouth. It needs to show an upward trend over the weekend to complete the break even. Going by the early trends, it has attracted eyeballs through its trailer and there is an interest among Telugu moviegoers for the film and the BE target is easy. So, it looks like it won’t be a tough task for the movie to cross the break-even, the rest depends on the audience WOM.
