Late actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s last film “Gandhada Gudi” also known as “GG” is performing very well at the box office in the home market, the flick is expected to draw in over 12 crores in its first weekend which is a very good number considering the scale and small budget of the movie.
It is directed by national award filmmaker Amoghavarsha JS and backed by Puneeth’s wife Ashwini Rajkumar, the latter also featured in the movie as herself along with the director and Puneeth.

GG clocked in Rs 1.79 Cr from the advance bookings on Sunday.It collected ₹ 3.08-4.15 crore nett on its first day and showed a slight growth in earnings on the second and went on to mint ₹ Rs 4-4.3 crores, domestically.
Now as per the early trade reports, it again showed a growth in the collections on Sunday, it is estimated to collect around ₹ 4.5-5 crore nett on the third day to take the first weekend total upwards of 13 crore. Puneeth’s film had 65.38% Kannada occupancy across all the shows on the third day.

Appu’s film was released on Oct 28 worldwide, in three languages Kannada and the dubbed versions English and Hindi. It was opened with rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and witnessed stupendous occupancy on the first day.
It has been released on 250 screens in the state. Karnataka Govt. has made the movie tax-free in the state, hence the tickets will be sold after cutting state GST from the ticket prices.
