Late Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s last film, Gandhada Gudi, has been released and opened to a rave response from his fans, who are not skipping a single opportunity to pay tribute to the late superstar.
The docu-drama film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker and wildlife photographer Amoghavarsha JS, graced the silver screen on October 28, 2022, and grossed around Rs. 4.15 crore in Karnataka.

The film, produced by Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini Rajkumar under the banner of their PKR Productions, in association with Mudskipper, is a 97-minute long documentary in which Appu and director Amoghavarsha embark on a journey to explore the natural beauty of the state of Karnataka.
The entire documentary film features Appu and Amogha and their behind-the-camera team on the adventurous journey. It is a perfect tribute by Appu to mother nature. The technical team includes Pratheek Shetty as the director of photography, MP Rajakrishnan handling the audiography; and B. Ajaneesh Loknath as the music composer.

The film was released just a day before App’s death anniversary, which is on October 29, and fans assembled in huge numbers in cinema halls throughout Karnataka to pay a befitting tribute to the legendary actor-producer through their presence.
Despite no grand promotion, the film recorded a 62.77% occupancy rate on its opening day and grossed Rs. 4.15 crore, followed by Rs. 4.50 crore on the second day. The film is heading towards becoming a blockbuster and has netted around Rs. 15 cr so far.
Gandhada OTT Release Date
As the film is creating a lot of buzz due to its theatrical release, many people are eager to know details about the OTT partner of the film. As of now, the team hasn’t revealed its OTT partner, but it is being said that they are in talks with Amazon Prime Video for the post-threatrical streaming of the film. The official announcement regarding it has yet to be awaited.
