National award-winning filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biographical crime drama after grossing over Rs 50 crores worldwide on the opening weekend is now heading to its week one.
Gangubai Kathiawadi has still a lot to achieve as far as box office success is concerned, the Alia Bhatt starrer is the first big-ticket Bollywood film of the year 2022 and reportedly is made on a budget of Rs 180 crores (Production cost, print, advertising & investment increased owing to coronavirus).
Gangubai Kathiawadi became the third top opening day grosser of Pandemic times with Rs 10.50 cr Nett, and the first of the year 2022, given the film was a non-holiday release it did a decent collection on day 1.
Opening Weekend Collection
GK showed growth on the footfalls at cinema halls on Saturday, it minted Rs 13.32 crores and on Day 3 (Sunday) SLB directorial minted Rs 15.30 crores reaching the weekend collection to Rs 39.12 Cr Nett.
Talking about the overseas weekend business of Gangubai Kathiawadi, from the U.K the film collected Rs 2.46 cr, Australia Rs 2.04 cr, NZ Rs 31.63 Lacs, Germany Rs 18.44 Lacs, and from North America, it accumulated over Rs 7.50 cr.
Thereby, the film grossed Rs 46.57 crore on the first three days of the weekend, it accumulated Rs 10.51 crore from overseas. The film did the business of Rs 57.08 cr at the box office worldwide.
Box Office Collection Day 4
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-hyped film is closer to 50 Cr in just 4 days, passed Monday Test means weekdays can show a steady run. After a strong weekend, the film collected Rs 8.19 Cr on Monday and now the total is 47.31 Cr.
