Actor Vishnu Vishal’s “Gatta Kusthi” is a sports drama film that has been released in cinemas today. As per Vishnu Vishal, it is the biggest film for the actor in terms of budget, artists, and technicians.
It is certified “U” by the central board of film certification with a 2hr 26min or 146mins duration. The film is simultaneously released in the dubbed Telugu version, today. The Telugu title of the movie is Matti Kusthi.

It stars Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gajaraj, and Karunas in key roles. It is helmed by Chella Ayyavu and backed by Ravi Teja, Shubhra, Aryan Ramesh, and Vishal himself under the banner RT Team Works and Vishnu’s own VV Studioz.
Gatta Kusthi Screen Counts
Gatta Kusthi dubbed version Matti Kusthi has occupied a good chunk of screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film has been released in 250+ theatres in the two Telugu states with the most in Andhra over 120 theatres, followed by Nizam around 90 theatres, and Ceeded around 40 theatres. It is said to be released in 300-320 theatres in Tamil Nadu.
Gatta Kusthi Occupancy Report
The theatrical rights of the Telugu version of the film have been sold at 2 crores. Talking about the occupancy reports, it opened on a good note in Telugu with 15.19% morning Telugu occupancy rates whereas the original version has seen a dismal start, as it recorded only a 7.43% morning occupancy rate in Tamil.
The trend in the occupancy rates was flat over the remaining shows, the film registered 12.44% Telugu occupancy and 12.19% Tamil occupancy on day 1.

Box Office Collection Day 1
Now, going by the trade estimations, Gatta Kusthi has raked in the range of 90L-1Cr on the first day which is a below par start. The film needs to gain a huge momentum over Sat and Sun to put up a respectable weekend or it will become a gone case in terms of BO success.
