Megastar Chiranjeevi’s film Godfather was released on Oct 5th to mixed reviews from the critics and took a decent start at the box office. It is written and directed by Mohan Raja and produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films.
Godfather is said to be made on a budget of 90-100 crores and needs an upward trend in earnings over the weekend followed by a good hold on the weekdays to get past the breakeven mark.

Box Office Collection Day 2
The film is getting positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, therefore the business of the film will grow due to word of mouth over the coming days. As per the trade reports, Chiranjeevi’s film has crossed the 50 crores mark at the box office, globally.
As per the BO tracker T2BLive, Godfather collected Rs 17.65 Cr on day 2 taking its total 2-day worldwide collections to Rs 50.35 crores. The drop in earnings is inevitable for a midweek release film during the working days but it will see an upward trend in the collections on Sat and Sunday.

Despite the megastar having a dry spell at the box office, his latest release has done a stupendous pre-release business. The distributors have shown good interest in associating with Chiranjeevi’s film, especially in the home states. It had earned a total of 70.50 crores from the sale of theatrical rights from Andhra and Telangana states alone.
It needs to recover around 71 crores of distributor’s shares from the Telugu states to emerge as a hit at the box office. Godfather accumulated 2.70 crores of shares in two days. Therefore, it now needs to recover 50.20 crores+ shares.

Advance Bookings Report Day 2
The advance bookings have gone down on day 2, it had accumulated Rs 6.56 crores on Day 1 through ticket sales. As per the reports, Chiranjeevi’s film sold tickets worth Rs 2.49 crores on day 2. Godfather is a midweek release film and the drop in all fronts is normal as today is the working day. It is expected to see growth on Sat and Sunday.
