Megastar “Chiranjeevi” is arriving at the theatres soon with his upcoming political action thriller Godfather. The movie has created quite a buzz ahead of its release due to superstar Salman Khan’s cameo.

Godfather Advance Bookings Report
The advance bookings of the film have been commenced and as of Sun, 9 pm, it grossed around 1.26 crores by selling over 80,000 tickets, in the Telugu version. The flick will also be released in Hindi on the same day, Oct 5th.
Godfather Budget
As per the reports, Godfather is made on a budget of 90 crores, and it is being said that Chiranjeevi alone charged 45 crores as his salary which is 50% of the total budget. On the other, Salman Khan, who will be seen sharing the screen with the Bigg Boss actor first time, hasn’t charged a single penny.
Break Even Target & Screen Counts
The worldwide theatrical rights of Godfather have been sold at Rs 91 crores, and it will have to churn out 92 crores distributor’s shares at the box office to emerge as a hit flick. The AP-TG theatrical rights sold at Rs 70.50 crores whereas the Rest of India and overseas rights at 20.50 crores.
The break-even target of Godfather is 71 crores in the two Telugu states (AP-TG). And it is expected to occupy over 1000 screens, there.

Box Office Collection
The break-even target of the flick seems easy this time as compared to Acharya whose theatrical rights business was valued at Rs 131.20 crores. And also Chiranjeevi starrer has already collected Rs 57 crores through digital rights (Hindi+Telugu both).
Now, even if it churns out half of its distributor’s shares it will become a profitable venture in terms of return on investment. Going by the trend and the advance bookings, it looks like Godfather will take a start of around 20 crores gross at the box office in Telugu states, excluding the hires.
