Created by Neil Gaiman, the fantasy comedy series Good Omens will be back with its second season soon. It is based on the novel of the same name “Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch”.
The novel was published in 1990 by Gollancz (UK) and Workman (US) and was written by Terry Pratchett in association with Neil Gaiman.
The first season consisted of six episodes, which premiered on May 31, 2019, on Amazon Prime Video and aired weekly on BBC Two in the United Kingdom between January 15 and February 19, 2020.
Now its most-awaited second season is all set to be delivered soon.

Actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Frances McDormand who played Satan and God, respectively, will not feature in the second season.
It will also feature Dame Sian Phillips, Tim Downie, Pete Fireman, Andi Osho, Alex Norton, Miranda Richardson, Nina Sosanya, Maggie Service, Doon Mackichan, Gloria Obianyo, Liz Carr, Quelin Sepulveda, and Shelley Conn.
The series is directed by Douglas Mackinnon and the screenplay is written by John Finnemore along with Neil Gaiman, who is also serving as the creator as well as the producer of the series. It holds the banners of Amazon Studios, BBC Studios, and BBC Worldwide.

Good Omens Plot
The plot of the series revolves around the Christian concept of hell, heaven, and earth. It depicts the long-term friendship between an angel, Aziraphale, and a demon, Crowley, who has been living on the earth since the dawn of creation.
After being on earth for so long, the demon and the angel both have become accustomed to life on the planet and are likely to do whatever it takes, to prevent it from all kinds of dangers.
The first season ended up with the scene in which Aziraphale and Crowley were having lunch together, the upcoming season will pick the story up from where it was left off.
Good Omens Season 2 OTT Release Date
Although the makers of this fantasy comedy have not made any official announcement regarding its release date, we can expect it to premiere on Amazon Prime during mid-2022.
Reportedly, the filming of the new season of the series began in Scotland, last year. The announcement regarding the renewal of the series was made in June 2021 by the official Twitter handle of the series. Have a look:
