ABC recently announced the renewal of the new season of its hit medical drama show Grey’s Anatomy, It is considered one of the longest-running medical shows as it has successfully completed its 18 seasons.
The main leads Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as Richard Webber will return in the new season. Season 17 revolved around the covid-19 pandemic and season 18 in the fictional post-pandemic era. Season 18 premiered on Sept 2021.

The IMDb rating of Grey’s Anatomy is 7.5/10, season 18 is premiered on ABC Network in the U.S. for the outside U.S audience, Season 1-16 is available on the Disney+Hotstar.
The first season of Grey’s Anatomy was premiered in March 2005, and since then the show has received several accolades in the awards ceremony including Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Award.

Shonda Rhimes Statement on Season 19
Meanwhile, Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes talking about the new season told in an interview that, “I Couldn’t be more excited That We Get to Keep Telling the Stories of Meredith, Bailey, Richard and All of the Other Doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial For Another Season.”
Thanking the audience and encouraging the cast and crew she further said that, “This Is a True Testament to Krista, The Cast, the Crew and All The Writers Who Keep the Audience on The Edge of their Seat Week After Week. And It would Not be Possible Without the Generations Of Incredible Fans Who Have Supported the show For so Many Years.”
