The Slasher Franchise Halloween is all set to return with its 12th installation ‘Halloween Kills’ in the series, jointly on theatres and OTT platform, it is the sequel of Halloween, which was released in 2018.
David Gordon Green’s directorial Halloween Kills, Most of the shooting took place at Wilmington city, the U.S, It has also a sequel named ‘Halloween Ends’ to be released next year on 14 Oct. it is called slasher genre movie, a subgenre of a horror film.

Halloween Kills Theatrical & OTT Release Date
Film’s shooting wrapped up on November 3, 2019, makers premiered it on Venice Intl. film festival on Sept 8, 2021. Initially, the film was to be released on Oct 16, 2020, but because of covid-19 the team rescheduled its release date to 15 Oct 2021 in the theatres and it will also be available on the American OTT platform peacock. Universal Pictures is the distributor of the movie.

It’s official trailer was released on 24 June 2021 on Universal Pictures official YouTube Channel, it has been viewed by 90 lakh+ times and crossed 2 lakh likes. The viewers have appreciated the makers that they have successfully brought the Halloween series since the 80’s and are still doing magic in the cinema world.
Halloween Kills Synopsis and Review
Since it is the sequel the film starts from where it ended last, Laurie caged Michael Myres in her home and ran with her daughter and granddaughter, thinking that she killed the antagonist but the Myres survives and resumes his killing, further in the film Laurie, gathers others survivors of 1978 killing, and evokes them to jointly kill the devil Michael Myres.
Critics gave a mixed response to the film while they appreciated the killings and acting of the cast but bashed the director and screenplay of the film. Variety media critic Owen Gleiberman bashed the story of the film, he wrote, “ it’s not scary at all, Halloween was the masterpiece but it is a mess, too many parallel plots that don’t go anywhere.”
