The much-awaited South Indian upcoming movie ‘HanuMan’ has received a theater release date. The makers have finalized it for the Sankranti 2024 occasion, and there have been no changes to this date as per the latest update.

The Tollywood film industry, which is currently enjoying its golden period, is set to deliver another Pan-India film titled HanuMan after massive blockbusters like Baahubali, RRR, Pushpa: The Rise, etc. The most surprising thing about Hanuman is, releasing in 11 languages Worldwide, biggest highlight of 2024 releases.

Touted to be the first superhero film of Telugu cinema, HanuMan is written and directed by Prasanth Varma, who is best known for directing movies like Awe (2018) and Zombie Reddy (2021).

Varma is a visionary director known for redefining Telugu culture with his ground-breaking concepts. The film was announced by him on May 29, 2021, coinciding with his birthday, and since then it has piqued the interest of Indian superhero enthusiasts.

The film was officially launched in June 2021 with a pooja ceremony, and the filming also started on the same day. In September 2021, Mollywood heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan launched the first look of the film.

HanuMan Release Date

The superhero film was scheduled to release in theatres on 12 May 2023 worldwide in 11 languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese versions but postponed and the makers released a statement regarding it with the teaser, now the release date is to announce on July 1, save 12th January 2023.

Earlier, the director Prasanth Verma during the teaser launch event in Hyderabad, revealed that the production budget of HanuMan has increased six times from the initial valuation.

HanuMan Star Cast

Produced by Primeshow Entertainment, the film stars promising young talent, Teja Sajja, in the lead role as Hanumanthu. He was last seen in the sci-fi romantic film Adbhutham, which was released directly on Disney+ Hotstar in November 2021.

Along with Teja, the film also stars Amritha Aiyer as Meenakshi, versatile actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as Anjamma, Vinai Rai as Michael, and Raj Deepak Shetty in the key role.

About the Film

Set in the fictional universe of Anjanadri, HanuMan is a part of Varma’s Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. The film is inspired by the Hindu god Hanuman. As per director Prasanth Varma, the film’s title Hanuman is dedicated to many people, who, think of Lord Hanuman when they think about any superpower or superhero in Hindu mythology.

HanuMan Non-Theatrical Rights

It is being said that the non-theatrical rights e.g. OTT and Satellite rights of the film have been sold at a whopping price. The post-theatrical OTT rights and Satellite rights of the film’s Hindi and Telugu versions were acquired by Zee Network for 16 crores, reportedly.

HanuMan Teaser

The teaser of the movie was supposed to be released on November 15, 2022, but veteran Superstar Krishna’s demise left the industry in shock leading to the postponement of the teaser launch event. Later, the teaser was released on the 21st of Nov, Monday, it’s an action mythological drama, and VFX seems rich and stunning.

The makers awestruck the entire nation with the extremely captivating teaser of the film.

The makers of HanuMan have not released the trailer for the movie yet. Although the makers of the movie earlier announced the release date of the movie but postponed it later, the official teaser is receiving a positive response.
