The highly anticipated Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed series Heeramandi is all set to release on Netflix. In August 2021, Netflix announced that they were joining hands with the ace filmmaker of Bollywood, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, to produce an original web series for the streaming platform.
The series is titled Heeramandi, and the series has made quite a buzz given its size and story. The story is set in the pre-independence period, and it will showcase a house of courtesans in 1940s India, with the country’s freedom fight as a backdrop.
The narrative will also highlight the love and treachery of the Heeramandi courtesans in the years before freedom. Heeramandi is currently known as Shahi Mohallah and is located in Lahore, Pakistan.

All these leading ladies are visible wearing mustard-colored outfits as they sit next to one another as the video opens with a closer shot of each of the main ladies. Among the other leading ladies, Sonakshi was the only one of them to stand, and she bowed to the camera while performing a salaam.

The other thing the series is making the headlines is because of its huge casting, though most names are still under wraps it is being said that Bhansali will cast around 18 female leads in the series.

According to some media reports, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla will be doing the cameo appearance in Bhansali’s digital debut series.
