Long-awaited Tamil rom-com drama Hey! Sinamika was finally released in cinema halls today(March 3), directed by the debutante Brinda.
It centers around a couple Dulquer Salman and Aditi Rao Hydari as Yaazhan and Mouna respectively, the film has been getting rave reviews from fans on Twitter since morning.
Hey Sinamika Review
Cinegoers are loving the chemistry between Salman and Aditi, the direction and the songs, the music of the film had already made a huge buzz among the movie-buffs. The negative part is the slow screenplay.
The poor pre-ticket sales booking and clashing today with Ajith’s Valimai which is still continuing its dream run on the theatres are some other negative points.
Talking about the positive point, the music of this romantic comedy is already hit, it is a multi starrer film and the main lead Dulquer is gracing the screens after his blockbuster biographical film Kurup.
Box Office Clash
The interesting thing is Dulquer’s rom-com is today releasing with his father’s(Mammootty) much-hyped crime drama Bheeshma Parvam though Hey! Sinamika hasn’t been dubbed in the Malayalam language, the clash will hardly affect the film’s business.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Therefore, as per our early estimates, Hey! Sinamika would earn around Rs 8 crores gross at the box office on an opening day(Thursday).
However, the final reports of Day 1 are yet to come, we will be up to date with this article whenever the final reports of day 1(Thursday) come in.
On March 4, Dulquer starrer will lock horn with Hollywood’s much-hyped superhero film The Batman starring Robert Pattinson which could also halt the films business from Day 2 onwards as south India is the major market for the big-ticket Hollywood films.
Apart from Dulquer and Aditi Rao, it features Kajal Aggarwal (Malarvizhi) and Shyam Prasad in pivotal roles. The film is written by Madhan Karky and bankrolled by Jio Studios in association with Global One Studios and Viacom 18 Studios. It has a runtime of 2hrs 29minutes.
On the technical front, Cinematography is handled by Preetha Jayaraman, and the editing is done by Radha Sridhar, the music is given by Govind Vasantha, his music is getting a lot of praise from the viewers, in particular the song Thozhi sung by Pradeep Kumar.
