Hina khan a popular face of Indian television shows is an Indian actress from Kashmir. She is very well known for playing Akshara, an Indian bahu in Star Plus’s Yeh Rishta kya kehlata hai daily show, and Komolika, a negative character in Kasauti Zindagii kay 2.
In 2017, she also became part of reality shows like the fear factor: Khatron ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss 11. she was a runner-up in both reality shows. Recently she lost her father, who died due to cardiac arrest.
Early Life
On 2nd October 1987, Hina Khan was born to Aslam khan in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir. She has a younger brother named Aamir khan and he is an owner of a travel company. She did her schooling at colonel’s central Academy School. She completed her MBA from the school of management, Gurgaon Delhi in 2009.
Career
She is a model and actress. Hina Khan started her career by auditioning for Sony tv’s Indian Idol in 2008, where she managed to come in top 30 contestants. Later during her college time, when her friends convinced her to audition for the show, she auditioned for the lead role in the tv show ‘Yeh Rishta kya kehlata hai’.She got selected for the show and moved to Mumbai.
In 2009, she debuted on television and got starred in one of the most popular and longest televisions running show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai’ as Akshara Singhania. Her role in the show was appreciated and got a positive response not only from India but from the worldwide tv public. She quit the show in November 2016, because she wanted to do a different project. Her performance in the show was incredible and she received many awards for that.
In 2017, she decided to break her bahu image on television and went for Colors TV’s Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 where her performance was incredible and she emerged as the first runner-up of the show.
In the same year, she participated as a celebrity contestant in Bigg Boss. Her performance was at best in the show and she emerged as the first runner-up in the show.
She worked in Punjabi music videos too. The first one was ‘bhasoodi’. She also worked in a short film ‘Smartphone’ by Ankoosh Bhatt. It was her Digital Debut. She signed her debut film ‘Lines’ in the year 2018, directed by Hussain Khan.
She signed one more short film in 2019 that is Soulmate by Pawan Sharma. Her short film ‘Wishlist’ directed by Rahat Kazami also got appreciated by her fans a lot.
She signed one more project with Kazami ‘ The country of Blind Men. Her psychological crime drama ‘Damaged 2’ was amazing and got good reviews from the public. Moreover, she appeared in a cameo role in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin. Also, she made her Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt’s Hacked, and her performance was amazing in that movie.
She was last seen in the T-series songs ‘pathar wargi’ and ‘baarish ban jana’.

From 2013 to 2017, Hina was named in the Top 50 Sexiest Asian Women by Earnest Eye. By mensXP.com, she was 8th among the “35 Hottest Actresses In Indian Television” in 2014. By Rediff, she was included in fourth place on “Television’s Top 10 Actresses”.
In Bigg Boss 11, she earned the title Sher khan and by Biza Asia, she was named the most favorite actress of 2017. At the 11th gold award, she got the award for ‘style diva of television Industry’. In 2018 and 2019, she was also ranked in Times of India’s Most desirable Women on Television.
