Tollywood’s budding star Adivi Sesh has proven his talent with his excellent acting skills in his recent releases. The actor who rose to prominence with his blockbuster bilingual film Major this year, again won audiences’ hearts with his recent release HIT: The Second Case.
The Telugu crime thriller, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, is the second instalment in the HIT Verse, following the blockbuster 2020 film HIT: The First Case, which was Kolanu’s directorial feature debut film and starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles.
On the other side, in HIT: The Second Case, Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Choudhary replaced Sen and Sharma as the main leads. Sesh has played the role of SP Krishna Dev, a.k.a. KD, in the film, whereas Meenakshi Choudhary has played his love interest.
HIT 2 Reviews & BO Reports
Produced by Wall Poster Cinema, HIT: The Second Case was released theatrically on December 2 and opened to a positive response from critics and audiences. The crime investigating thriller has done well at the box office and has become a commercial success, grossing Rs. 35 crore worldwide against a budget of Rs. 10 crore.
Not only in India, but the film also did well at the US box office, crossing the Rs. 1 million mark. The film’s plot follows the Superintendent of Police in the Homicidal Intervention Team (HIT) of Andhra Pradesh, Krishna Dev, who is on a mission to solve a serial murder case in Visakhapattnam.
HIT 2 Hindi OTT Release Date
As the film is heading toward OTT, it is about to end its theatrical run. However, there is surely a question in Hindi audiences’ minds about whether the film will be released theatrically in a dubbed Hindi version or not.
Earlier, seeing the response that Adivi Sesh starrer Major got, the actor himself announced that a couple of weeks after HIT 2’s Telugu release, it would also be released in dubbed Hindi, and he himself would dub it in Hindi.
It’s been almost 20 days, since the Telugu release of the film, so as per our speculation, the Hindi dubbed version is unlikely to release as Avatar 2 has also come to big screens, and Ranveer Singh’s much-hyped comedy drama film Cirkus is also gearing up for its Christmas release on December 23, 2022.
Given this, the chances of the film being released in a dubbed Hindi version are nearly nil. Meanwhile, the film’s post-theatrical OTT rights have been sold to Amazon Prime, and it is expected to premiere on the platform in January 2023.
As the makers haven’t released a Hindi-dubbed version of the film in theaters, chances are high that it will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. The official announcement is yet to be made by its makers.
