It is the new trend in Bollywood to produce the Hindi remake of the successful South Indian film. We have been witnessing this new trend for the past few years. Whether it is Arjun Reddy, Jersey and other South India films, producing the Hindi remakes of these hit films is more profitable for the makers and the fans too love to enjoy remakes.
Now, the Hindi remake of acclaimed Telugu action thriller HIT: The First Case, which was directed by Sailesh Kolanu, is all set to be released this year. It was released on February 28, 2020 and became a blockbuster despite the countrywide lockdown due to COVID-19. Its sequel HIT: The Second Case is under production in March 2021.
After the success of the original film, its director Sailesh Kolanu decided to expand the franchise to Bollywood and decided to remake the film in Hindi language. While the original film was bankrolled by Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni, the upcoming Hindi remake will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series in association with Dil Raju and Kuldeep Rathore.
HIT: The First Case Star Cast
Director Sailesh Kolanu signed Bollywood’s most versatile actor Rajkummar Rao for the lead role; he will be reprising the role of Vishwak Sen in the original film. Kolanu expressed his happiness to bring the actor on board and also said that he had been following Rajkummar Rao since he watched Shaitaan.
Rao was recently seen in Harshavardhan Kulkarni’s comedy drama film Badhaai Do, which despite being underperformed at the Box Office, received a lot of appreciation from the audience as well as critics owing to casubject of the film and the excellent performance by the leading star cast.
Actress Sanya Malhotra was cast for playing the female lead and she will be reprising the role of actress Ruhani Sharma in the Original film. Dangal fame Sanya is one of the leading young actresses of Bollywood, who gets praises for her performance in different films. She was recently seen in Zee5’s romantic thriller Love Hostel along with Vikrant Massey and Bobby Deol. The upcoming remake marks her second collaboration with Rajkummar Rao after 2020 black comedy crime film Ludo.
HIT: The First Case Release Date
The makers of this most awaited remake announced its release date on November 20, 2021. The official twitter handle of the production house T-Series confirmed that the film will release theatrically on May 20, 2022 but postponed due to multi clashes at BO, now save the date ’15 July 2022′.

About the film
The story of the film is centered around a cop in the Crime Investigation Department Working in the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT). He is very smart and sharp in solving crucial cases with his ability to capture even the smallest of details. He has been working on a case of a missing woman while constantly fighting a battle with his past.
