Hocus Pocus 2 is an upcoming American fantasy horror film and a sequel of 1993 film Hocus Pocus. The film is directed by Anne Fletcher, best known for her films Step Up (2006), 27 Dresses (2008) and The Proposal (2009).
Discussion on a sequel started back in 2014 and several stars of the original film expresses their interest in their role in the sequel. Finally, it was confirmed to be development in 2019 with D’Angelo set to write the screenplay.
Hocus Pocus 2 OTT Release Date
The makers of the film have revealed the release date of this much-awaited sequel and it is now confirmed that the film will have a directed-to-OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar on September 30, 2022.
The official twitter handle of Disney+Hotstar announced the date with the caption “We’re back, Wishes.”:

Hocus Pocus 2 Teaser Trailer Out
The teaser of Hocus Pocus 2 is finally out. Set in 29 years after the events of Hocus Pocus, the trailer stars with a high school girl planning to celebrate her 16th birthday along with her two of her other friends from school.
It further shows, a shop-keeper telling her that it is on the 16th birthday that a witch gets her powers. The trailer shows the youngster reading spell an the flame of an old candle ignites and scared them. After that, Sanderson sisters make their entry on the screen. Check out the teaser below:
Hocus Picus 2 Star Cast
Produced by Adam Shankman, Lynn Harris, David Kirschner and Steven Haft under the banners of Walt Disney Pictures and David Kirschner Productions, the sequel bring back the iconic trio of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
Three of them played played Sanderson Sisters, who are the witches as Winnie Sanderson, Sarah Sanderson and Mary Sanderson, respectively, after the 29 year long period.
Other than these stars ,the sequel also stars Doug Jones, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale and Sam Richardson and Froy Cutierrez. American reality completion TV series “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stars Ginger Minj, Cornbread Jete, Kahmora Hall will portray drag queens impersonating Winnie, Sarah and Mary.
