Hindi comedy-drama film series Housefull is set to be back with its 5th instalment- Housefull 5 on Diwali 2024, confirmed by Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala.
Created by Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, the franchise is synonymous with the indispensable comedy timing of Akshay Kumar.
Housefull is the rarest franchise in Bollywood that has a 100 percent hit ratio. And now, as per some reports, Nadiadwala has locked his idea of coming up with the next instalment and is currently working on the script.
Housefull 5 Release Date
The first instalment of the franchise was released in 2010 followed by a sequel each in 2012, 2016 and 2019.

Sajid Nadiadwala who has also produced the franchise under his home banner- Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE) has some interesting plans to come back with Housefull 5. Reportedly, he has been planning to bring the entire Housefull universe under one roof ever since the release of Housefull 4.
It is learnt that he plans to bring together the principal cast of all the previous instalments for Housefull 5. So apart from the franchise, regulars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, actors- Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda are on his wish list.
Nadiadwala has been trying to create a plot that could justify the presence of all these actors together in Housefull 5 and reportedly, he has the plot locked finally. He is currently busy finalising the story and screenplay for the film, around his idea.
About Housefull 5 Plot
The basic plot of all the films of the Housefull franchise result from the confusion between three couples. For his upcoming instalment, Sajid is planning to throw five couples into the mix to increase the fun and confusion by 5 times.
The first 2 films of the franchise were directed by Sajid Khan, who is presently competing in Bigg Boss 16 as a contestant. However, the third instalment was directed by the director-writer duo Sajid Samji and Farhad Samji. The latter also helmed Housefull 4. There is no official announcement regarding the cast and crew of Housefull 5 yet.
