Hunt is an upcoming Telugu psychological action thriller film which is directed by Mahesh Surapaneni. It is an official Telugu remake of Rosshan Andrrews directorial 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role as a cop.
The Malayalam film turned out to be a remarkable box-office success of that year. The film won several accolades including Kerala State Film Award for Best Screenplay and Prithviraj’s performance in the film was regarded as his career-best performance.
Now, the Telugu remake is set to entertain its audience and it will be investing to see if it receives the same response or not. The upcoming remake is produced by V Ananda Prasad under the banner of Bhavya Creations.
Hunt Star Cast
The film stars actor Sudheer Babu, who is the brother-in-law of superstar Mahesh Babu, in the lead role as a cop, Arjun. It will be the second time he is playing a cop, after Nani starrer 2020 Telugu action film V.
In V, he impressed his fans with his performance as a Police officer and it can be said that the role of a cop suits him well. The upcoming film is the 16th film of Sudheer Babu’s career and also stars Manjula Ghattamaneni, Meka Srikanth and Bharath Srinivasan.
Hunt Release Date
The film is billed to be a proper action thriller which is Sudheer Babu’s favourite genre. It is scheduled to release in cinemas on 26 January 2023 on the occasion of Republic Day.

Going by the trailer, Arjun (portrayed by Sudheer Babu) is playing the role of a cop, the trailer sees Arjun on a mission to find out the culprits behind the high-profile murder case of an ACP. How did he solve the case without a recollection of his memory which he, unfortunately, lost in an accident? forms the crux of the story. The interesting Trailer is packed with thrilling action sequences, it has all the elements to become successful at the box office.

Hunt Teaser
The teaser of this psychological action thriller was planned to be released in September 2022, but due to the sudden demise of Sudheer Babu’s Mother-in-law and Mahesh Babu’s mother, Indira Devi, it was postponed. Finally, it was released on October 3, 2022.
The 1.5-minute-long trailer starts with a doctor revealing that Sudheer Babu has a dual personality issue. She can be heard saying “He was Arjun A and You are Arjun B. They are like two different people sharing the same body”.
Sudheer Babu is playing a cop, Arjun, who after meeting with an accident, suffers partial memory loss. Other than this aspect, the teaser shows some high-octane action sequences and Sudheer can also be seen flaunting his ripped physique.

The Mahesh Surapaneni directorial has an amazing team of craftsmen including Arul Vincent as the director of photography and Prawin Pudi as the editor of the film, which has music composed by Ghibran. The art department is handled by Vivek Annamalai.
