The Fashion Design Council of India is back with the 15th edition of Indian Couture Week (ICW) 2022 to unfurl the magic once again. The popular fashion week has returned to the physical runways after two year of digital displays.

The event was started in 2008 with Sunil Sethi as its President, who is still holding his position. The first three editions were held in Mumbai and while the Mumbai edition was on, the organisers also started the Delhi one.

This year, the fashion extravaganza is much bigger and grader in scale than ever. Having been started on July 22, 2022, the 10-days is back with a stellar line up of the leading couturiers, who are showing India’s rich and cultural craftsmanship. The event will last till July 31, 2022.

Designers Representing their Craft in ICW 2022

The 15th edition of the India Couture Week (ICW), in association with Lotus make-up includes presentations by 13 designers including J.J. Valaya, Rahul Mishra, Suneet Varma, Falguni Shane Peacock, Amit Aggarwal, Anju Modi, Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Anamika Khanna, Dolly J, Kunal Rawal, Siddartha Tytler and Varun Bahl. Archana Aggarwal Timeless Jewellery is the jewellery partner for the ultra-luxe showcasing.

Here is the names of actresses that flaunts the beautiful outfits of these designers and set the stage of fire with their beauty and charm:

1- Rashmika Mandanna

Bubbly South Indian beauty Rashmika Mandanna also graced the event and did the ramp walk on Day 4, July 26th, 2022. The day saw designer Varun Bahl’s couture collection titled “New Leaf”.

The collection was inspired by the world of Flora & Fauna which has been showcased through different textures with appliques such as feathers, sequins, and fabric such as silk and velvet.

The collection was partnered with jewellery by Sehgal Jewellers and presented to a packed house at the Embassy of France in Delhi. Actress Rashmika turned into a muse for Bahl’ s collection and wore  a fiery blood red ensemble with a fully embellished corset, a multicolour floral lehenga. She was looking like an absolute diva in the outfit.

2- Malaika Arora

Malaika Arora known for her age-defying beauty and sexy body brought the much needed oomph on the ramp as she represents the outfit of the designer duo- Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna.

The actress aging like a fine wine set the stage on fire as she walked the ramp to showcase the duo’s latest collection of evening wear couture “Fibonacci”. She was looking stunning in a sheer black gown that featured a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit. 

3- Aditi Rao Hydari

Murder 3 fame Aditi Rao Hydari ramp walked for designer Anju Modi on the evening of Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Called “The Road less travelled”, the collection encompassed the designer’s learnings and experiences through various walks around the world.

Aditi flaunted a dull gold coloured lehenga and beautiful green coloured dupatta for Modi and was looking no less than a goddess. Have a look:
