Idiot is an upcoming Tamil comedy horror film, which is directed as well as written by Rambhala, who is best known for delivering hilarious comedies such as comedy show Lollu Sabha, horror comedy films Dhilluku Dhuddu and Dhilluku Dhuddu 2.
The film is bankrolled by Siddharth Ravipati under the banner of Screen Scene Media Entertainment. The music rights of the film are acquired by Think Music.
On technical front, the cinematography in the film is handled by Raja Bhattacharjee while Ginee Madhavan has edited it. The film has music and background score by Vikram Selva.
Idiot Star Cast
The film stars the leading actress of South Indian cinema Nikki Galrani, who, in the past gave major hits for Tamil as well as Malayalam Film Industry. She will play the female lead as Smitha.
Idiot is the second horror movie of Galrani, after Sam Anton’s 2015 directorial Darling which turned-out to be a blockbuster hit. After the success of the film, the media started referring her as the “Darling of the Tamil Cinema”.
Galrani was last seen in Tamil family drama film Raajavamsam opposite M. Sasikumar. The film was released on November 26, last year and received negative reviews from critics.
In the movie Idiot, comedian-actor Shiva will play the male lead role as Chinnarasu. Shiva is popularly known as Mirchi Shiva because he used to work as Radio Jockey (RJ) with Radio Mirchi.
Apart from the leading star cast, the film also features Akshara Gowda, Anandaraj, Urvashi, Mayilsamy, Singamuthu, Ravi Mariya and Redin Kingsley in supporting roles.
Idiot Release Date
The production house Screen Scene Media Entertainment on Feb 20, 2022, announced the official release date of the movie through a social media post. It penned a interesting caption “#Idiot coming on fools day !!!”, perfect release date.

So the film is all set to be released on April 1, 2022 on the big screen. It will be distributed by 7G Films. Earlier, it was set to be released on September 17, 2021 but was delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The shooting was begun on November 7, 2020 and majority of the portion of the film was shot in Tenkasi and Chennai. The final scheduled of the film was shot in December 2020 in Pollachi district of Tamil Nadu. Finally, the team wrapped up shoot in February 2021.

The trailer of this much-awaited horror comedy entertainer was release back on April 25, 2021. The nearly one minute and thirty second long trailer looks promising and is filed with comedy and horror.
It feature a bunch of people stuck in a horrific room and battling against a ghost. The female lead Nikki Galrani is featured as the Ghost.
Recently, the makers also revealed the character posters featuring leading stars Shiva and Nikki as Smitha and Chinnarasu, respectively.
