The Kollywood film industry is growing day by day for making movies with some bold and different content. This year is also going to be full of surprises for the Tamil audience as many interesting movies are on their way to entertain fans.
One of the most-awaited upcoming films in the pipeline is the Tamil action-drama film Iswarya Murugan, which is soon to be released on big screens nearby you.
This is one of the important projects of director R. Panneer Selvam who made his directorial debut 2009 Tamil action film Renigunta which did fairly well at the box office.
Apart from this, he also helmed the 2012 Tamil psychological thriller 18 Vayasu and the 2017 Tamil action-drama Karuppan. Iswarya Murugan is the fourth directorial project of his career.

The film has a big star cast of newcomers. Director R. Panneer Selvam’s son Arun Panneer Selvam is making his debut with this action thriller opposite Vidya Pillai, who is also a debutant.

Iswarya Murugan Makers
Along with directing the film, R. Panneer Selvam also wrote the script. He had last directed megastar Vijay Sethupathi and Tanya Rao starrer 2017’s critically acclaimed village action drama Karuppan. It was bankrolled by G.R. Venkatesh, in association with K. Vinoth, under the banner of Masterpiece Productions.
If we talk about technical work, cinematography and editing are done by Arjun Jena and John Abraham, respectively while it has music and background score by Ganesh Raghavendra.

Iswarya Murugan Release Date
This romantic action thriller drama is all set to hit the big screens on Friday, 11th February 2022. The makers of the movie have not revealed whether the film will have its post-theatrical online streaming or not. We will update the information after the official confirmation by the makers.

Iswarya Murugan First Look and Teaser
The film was announced by popular Tamil film director Lingusamy and the first look poster was released by another acclaimed Tamil director Gautham Vasudeva Menon on October 14, 2021.
A few days after releasing the first look, the teaser of the movie was also released. The 90-second long teaser was released by actor Vijay Sethupathi.
The teaser looks so promising and full of suspense, which depicts the story of five friends, who are on a mission to revenge the death of one of their friends who was murdered because he fell in love with a girl from the Upper Class in college.
The film will also highlight caste discrimination which has rooted deeply in some parts of our society. It will actually come with the social message of non-discrimination.
