The long-awaited Tamil film Jail hit theatres in Dec 2021, it is directed by G. Vasanthabalan and the music director turned actor GV Prakash is playing the main lead.
They both had earlier appeared in the critically acclaimed film Veyil, thereby It is their second project together. It was released in Hindi and Telugu apart from the Tamil language.
Jail OTT Release Date & TV Premiere
The shooting of Jail was wrapped up in the year 2018 and since then the makers were waiting for its release, they later announced that it is going to hit theatres finally on 9 Dec 2021, worldwide.
The worldwide theatrical release rights were acquired by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. It features GV Prakash Kumar, Aparnathi, Radhika Sarathkumar, Pasanga also known as Pandi, Nadan Ram, Ravi Mariya, etc.
After theatrical success, Jail is streaming on Amazon Prime Video from the 7th of January 2022, now its World TV Premiere Date has been confirmed by Kalaignar TV (13 March 2022):

The Teaser of Jail was released on 27 Oct the official YouTube channel of Sony Music South, The B.G.M (Background Music ) is being appreciated by the viewers. The music composition is handled by G.V Prakash Kumar. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch the acting of G.V at the cinema theatres.

Jail is bankrolled by Sridharan Mariadhasan and it is made under the banner of Krikes Cine Creations. On the technical parts, Ganesh Chandra handled the cinematography and edited it by Raymond Derrick Crasta. Studio Green is the distributor.
Jail Songs
There are two songs in the Tamil version of the movie that has been released by the makers as of now, one is ‘Kaathodu Kaathanen’ and the other is ‘Pathu Kaasu’ there is a song in the Telugu version of the movie which is sung by Anurag Kulkarni and known Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal.
The Telugu song Kaathodu Kaathanen is sung by south superstar Dhanush and the known Indian actress Aditi Rao Hydari, Dhanush has recently got the National Film Award for his film Asuran.
