Veteran actor Rajinikanth, is one of the most loved and admired superstars of our country who has played an indispensable role to bring the Indian Cinema to new heights.
Now, the megastar’s fans have reason to celebrate as he is set to return with his upcoming project soon. Tentatively titled as Thalaivar 169, as it is the 169th film of his career, the film got its official title as Jailer now.
It is directed and written by “Beast” director Nelson Dilipkumar who is helming his fourth project. Jailer marks the first ever collaboration between Nelson and megastar Rajinikanth.

Produced under the banner of Sun Pictures, the film’s title has been announced by film’s makers along with its first look that shows a blood-stained sword hanging down in an intriguing manner. The Thalaivar 169 has now been officially titled as Jailer and after seeing the poster it can be said that the film is going to be a crime thriller.

Jailer Star Cast
Megastar Rajinikanth is set to return in the lead role in Jailer. He was last seen in action thriller Annaatthe, which was released in Diwali last year and despite receiving highly negative reviews, the film ended up grossing a whopping amount of Rs. 240 crore.
However, the details about his role are still kept secret, so far there have been reports that his Enthiran co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is set to join the star cast with Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu are in talk to play pivotal roles.
Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar has also confirmed that he is a part of the project and that his combination scenes with Rajinikanth will be shot in Mysuru, Karnataka. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is onboard to compose the music.
