Shahid starrer after witnessing a dull opening now enters the second day, it seems the plan of the pushing back the film to a week owing to KGF2 juggernaut has failed drastically as the film was not able to garner even the expected footfalls at the ticket counters on Day 1.
Jersey is a sports drama film directed by Gautam Tinanuri who earlier helmed the 2019 Tollywood film of the same name, the film was considered a super hit at the box office, but it seems he failed this time to create the same magic.
Box Office Collection Day 1
As per the reports, the sports drama collected around Rs 4 Cr on the first day, as the film received mostly positive response from the critics there is still hope that the film will saw a surge in footfalls in 2 days of the first weekend.
And after The Kashmir Files, anything can happen the film started with Rs 3.55 Cr and saw a growth of 139.44% in a further day, and eventually in the three-day weekend the small film churned out Rs 27.15 Crs nett, Vivek Agnihotri directorial later went on to become the historical blockbuster and still seeing far and few footfalls at the box office.
Advance Bookings
Now as far as the advance ticket bookings of Jersey are concerned, the film is witnessing growth as compared to the prior day, many shows are filling fast in the major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, and NCR, especially in the latter where some shows also got sold out.
Box Office Collection Day 2
As per the estimation, Shahid starrer will rake in around Rs 6.5 Cr on day 2 (Saturday) from the domestic market, let’s see how the audience shows the response to the film on Sunday. It is expected the film will show the growth in its box office collections on Sunday.
