India’s leading OTT service Disney+Hotstar launched its upcoming Telugu Original series titled Jhansi last year. Billed as an action entertainer, the series is helmed by director-screenwriter Thiru known for films like Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, Samar and Naan Sigappu Manithan etc.
Jhansi Star Cast
The Hotstar Special series star South Indian actress Anjali in the lead roles. The actress, who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu films, will be essaying a cop in the series. Her most recent release is Kannada action thriller Bairagee.
Jhansi is the third OTT project of Anjali after Paava Kadhaigal and Navarasa, which were released on Netflix in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Other than her, the series stars Mumaith Khan, Kalyan Master, Raj Arjun, Sharanya and Samyuktha Hornad among others, in the key roles.

Jhansi OTT Release Date
On Thursday, October 13, the official social media handle of Disney+Hotstar announce the release date of Jhansi. The Hotstar Special series locked for October 27, 2022 as it release date, now streaming in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu, all 6 episodes available.

Jhansi Teaser & Trailer
In August, the makers of the series released a first look video clip in which offers a sneak peek into its genre. The 30-second video features Anjali in a never seen before role, essaying an action packed character.
The promo begin with Anjali saying “it’s ok if I don’t know who my friends are, but I want to know who my friends are”. It features the actress performing some high-octane action sequences, bashing up baddies left, right and centre.

Technical Team
On the technical front, Arvind Kumar has cranked the camera, Lewellyn Gonsalvez has handled the editing work whereas Yannick Ben of “The Family Man” fame has choreographed action sequences.
Sricharan Pakala has composed the music and background score of the series. Actor Krishna, who turned producer with Amala Akkineni-starrer Zee5 Original series, High Priestess, has bankrolled the project under the banner of Tribal Horse Entertainment.
