Bollywood’s Sahenshah Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in a biographical sports film Jhund in which he is portraying the titular role Vijay Barse, on which the story is based.
Sr. Bachchan recently (Feb 2) had announced the release date of the long-awaited film through SM platforms that is 4 March 2022. Now we have learned about the streaming platform which has bagged the post-theatrical digital rights of Jhund, scroll down and read on to know.
Jhund is helmed and written by Nagraj Manjule and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj, Gargee Kulkarni, and Meenu Aroraa under the banner T-Series, Tandav Films, Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, and Aatpaat Films.

Star Cast of Jhund
- Big B will be seen essaying founder of slum soccers, Vijay Barse, a professor, who impart motivation in street children to form a
football team. - Other actors blockbuster 2016 Marathi film Sairat fame Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru will be sharing the screen with the senior Bachchan. Jhund will be the Bollywood debut of the latter’s while it will mark the second Hindi film of the former after Lust Stories (2018).

Theatrical Release
This long-awaited film was wrapped up in Aug 2019 and since then makers have rescheduled its release date many times owing to various reasons including covid-19. Makers in Feb announced that Jhund would hit the cinemas on 4th March 2022.
Over The Top (OTT) Release Date
Talking about the digital premiere of Jhund, The post-theatrical digital rights are acquired by the homegrown streaming platform Zee5 which is showing us Jhund from 6th of May, 2022. Watch Promo Here:

Technical Team
On the technical front, the director of photography/cinematographer is Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti and the editing is handled by Kutub Inamdar and Vaibhav Dabhade.
Ajay-Atul is the music composer and the background score is given by Saket Kanetkar. Except for Vaibhav Dabhade, they all have earlier worked in the 2016 critically and commercially acclaimed Marathi film Sairat.
