Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan starrer biographical sports drama Jhund is set to have its world television premiere soon. Directed and written by National Award-winning filmmaker-actor Nagraj Manjule the film was based on Maharashtra-based social worker Vijay Barse, known for having founded an organisation to uplift underprivileged Children called Slum Soccer.
Big B’s role in the film was inspired by Vijay Barse and he played a professor who motivates the slum children to form a football team. Along with him, the film features a big star cast including Ankush Gedam, Akash Thosar, Rinku Rajguru, Kishor Kadam, director Nagraj Manjule and many others.
Jhund World Television Premiere Date
The film was released theatrically on March 4 and just after its two months it had a OTT premiere on India’s leading streaming platform Zee5 on May 6. It received a highly positive response from audience and critics praising the performance of the ensemble cast as well as an IMDb rating of 7.4/10.
Now, the film is all geared for being aired on the television for the first time. It will have its first ever World Television Premiere on Sony Max on June 26, 2022.

Plot of the film
The film follows Vijay Barse, who is on the edge of retirement from his job as a sports teacher. He makes a soccer team of children from a slum which is located besides the college.
He managed to rehabilitate street oppressed caste kids by keeping them off drugs and crime by turning them into Football players as well as organised a National Football Tournament for all slum soccer players form all over India, so that he can select the best team for International Slum Football.
